Exercise With Oxygen Therapy

oxygen-3EWOT, or Exercise With Oxygen Therapy, is exercising while breathing in higher concentrations of oxygen. Right now, you are breathing approximately 21% oxygen. When you increase the level of oxygen you are breathing it has immediate benefits including an increase in strength, endurance, and energy.

How does this work?

When the blood carries oxygen to the capillaries, the oxygen must dissolve into the fluids of the body in order to reach your cells. This happens through pressure, which unfortunately, tends to decline with age. Anything from stress, lack of exercise, smoking, toxins, and sedentary life styles, breathing bad air or free radicals can contribute to this loss of pressure. Over time, your pressure can decrease from 100mm of arterial oxygen pressure (Average 20 year old) to 60mm (average 70 year old).

EWOT actually raises the pressure back to more youthful levels. As long as you continue with your daily EWOT sessions, you can continue to make sure your cells are getting all the oxygen they need.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What is the concentration of oxygen during EWOT?
An oxygen bar dispenses non-medical oxygen. The air we normally breathe contains about 21% Oxygen. The oxygen we provide is about 4 to 5 times the amount of oxygen found in the atmosphere.
  2. How long should I breathe O2 while exercising?
While you can partake in EWOT up to 30 minutes a day using a stationary bike and/or treadmill, the quickest and most effective method of EWOT is utilizing a whole body vibration machine 10 minutes per day.
  3. How are we absorbing more oxygen by increasing the concentration level?
A red blood cell carries 97% oxygen. While you cannot increase the amount of oxygen in a red blood cell, you can increase the amount of oxygen in the blood plasma which carries the red and white blood cells and is then pushed into the body’s cells and deep tissues without the assistance of red blood cells. This process is also known as the Law of Mass Action. Therefore, with continued supply of extra oxygen there will be an increase in your total tissue oxygen levels.
  4. Do I need a prescription to participate in EWOT?
No, you will be breathing air from an oxygen generator, not a medical grade oxygen concentrator which does require a prescription.
  5. I have asthma, can I use Oxygen?
No. If you have asthma you should consult a physician before using the oxygen treatments.
